Last Animation

165 Students:
1. For the last project, you are working on a simple walk with a background.
(See previous post for project details)
If you would like to work toward extra credit or just work on becoming a more experienced animator You can try having your character jump. The instructions for the jump are below.
2. The goal is to add a third scene to your animation showing your character walking onto the stage and stop a third of the way in, look at something on the ground, look at the audience, then jump over the object, land and walk off screen.
3. Next Tuesday is the last regular class and is your last chance to turn in projects.

Both 165 and 166 students, bring your sketchbooks to class so that I can look at your work and give you credit.

Also if I returned your comic to you please re-do and turn in on Tuesday.

Home work: Comic Project

Homework
165 Students:
In your sketchbook or on separate sheets of paper draw a 3-4 panel comic that uses the two characters that you designed for class this week. The comic should begin with the premise that "A character walks into a room and..." You can add more characters if you want, however all the characters and any backgrounds that you  use must be in the minimalist style. As you work on your story keep in mind the basic format for story telling, Action, Reaction, Consequences. This is due Tuesday, please ink using two pen thicknesses.

Homework Drawing

165 Students:
Work on fine tuning your minimalist drawings. If you did not do all 12 you need to complete the project. Some of you need to redraw from the start, you know who you are. Besides completing the last drawing project, You homework for Thursday is to draw another character in the same minimal style. The theme is to draw that childhood acquaintance that followed you around and looked up to you when you were little. Be prepared to tell us about the person. Please ink using two thicknesses of pens. Due At 7:00 when you walk in. Have fun.

Reminder... No Class on October 31st because of the field trip we took last Saturday AND HOMEWORK DRAWING PROJECT

Reminder... No Class on October 31st because of the field trip we took last Saturday to the Cartoon Art Museum.

If you missed the trip and would like to make up the time (if you are available), you can come by the DVC Halloween Party. Located in the courtyard between the Margret Lesher and Cafeteria buildings Wednesday the 30th from 10-2 for some caricature drawing. This is a great chance for you to practice your craft. I will be drawing, you can help me to turn your fellow students into monsters. You do not need to stay the entire time and they will feed you and provide the drawing materials all you need to do is draw.

Homework drawing project for the weekend: Draw yourself as a superhero of the opposite gender. Due Tuesday.

A quick drawing job came up! So i'm offering it to the first taker, all you have to do is call the person.

Hi,

Thank you for asking your class to help me with this project. Pet Food Express and our Animal Shelter, Contra Costa Animal Services are working on a dog adoption store. They want me to draw a rough draft floor plan. I have the ideals but can not draw. I can meet with the student and pay them for their time.

If I can meet with them anytime this Wed. that would be great. I can also meet in the evening.

My phone is 925-933-4842.

Thank you!

Debbie Rodriguez
